"Trial by Fire " Spirit Fire Tournament - August 26, 2007

Spirit Fire held its second tournament of the season. Open to league players only, the day started with many non-league fighters having a chance to play with the pros. After the confusion ended, the fighters of Lazy Hippo, Broken Vulture, Pheonix Fire, and Black Falcon squared themselves for the 1 VS 1 tourney.

Galaxy Commander Gnome Taylor was the dominant force for the majority of the battles. His prowess left most of the fighters reeling, however, in a sudden mastery of gun fire from the Khan of Pheonix Fire, proved his defeat.

The day finished off with the usual bitter rivalry that Spirit Fire has come to know so well.

On Sunday, August 12th, the fighters of Spirit Fire once again met on the field of battle. After many non-league games played with mercenaries, the league fighters found time to record a few battles. The matches were fairly even for wins ....

General Dunn, of "Dunn’s Elite Mercenaries" has chosen to call themselves "Lazy Hippo". The name implies both the strength and patience of the mighty creatures.

The fighting was a combination of mercenaries and "team-swapping" for the most part. Very few league games were played. The few that took place were Trials of Position, for both the newly formed Black Falcons, and the ever-present Pheonix Fire.

Clan Pheonix Fire, had never declared a leader; Zzorhn Carlson, had fought his way to Galaxy Commander, however, he never assumed true leadership of the unit. That all changed on August 11th ....
